During a visit to the Academy Museum, guests can explore four floors of exhibition space and access one of the best views of the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles from the Dolby Family Terrace.
The first three floors of the museum feature the exhibition Stories of Cinema which presents the diverse, international, and complex stories of moviemakers and the works they create. Level 4 currently features the museum’s special exhibition Regeneration: Black Cinema 1898–1971 which explores the rich history of Black participation in American cinema from its beginnings to just beyond the civil rights movement.
Guests may also have the opportunity to enjoy a film in either of the museum’s two state-of-the-art theaters; screenings run almost daily. *Galleries and public spaces in the museum may periodically be closed for maintenance, refurbishment, or private events.
