Casa Milà, more popularly known as ‘La Pedrera’ (the stone quarry), is Antoni Gaudí's last civil work and one of the prominent structures that exhibits the architect's distinct take on modernism. Truly ahead of its time, this UNESCO World Heritage site was considered controversial when the project was started in 1906.
