What to expect
Discover one of Gaudí’s lesser-known architectural gems at the foot of the Collserola hills. Torre Bellesguard blends Gothic and Modernist styles, inspired by a medieval castle that once stood on the site. With its dragon-shaped roof, mosaic details, and sweeping views over Barcelona, it offers a more peaceful, off-the-beaten-path Gaudí experience.
Things to look out for
A walk through the history of Catalonia. During the visit, you will discover the characters and historical events that have coincided on this piece of land where Bellesguard stands. Crossed biographies of bandits, popes, and kings, wars, surrenders, and power struggles... a past that influenced and inspired Gaudí.
A peaceful and exclusive visit, without haste, without queues, and without crowds. Enjoy a visit that allows you to leisurely contemplate this special work, its curves, the play of light, the details in trencadís and wrought iron... and decipher all its symbolism.
Gaudinian gardens that incorporate the remains of the medieval palace of King Martin I. Bellesguard is surrounded by beautiful gardens designed by Gaudí, where he restores and integrates the remains of the medieval palace of King Martin I, the last king of the House of Barcelona, who spent his last years of life at Bellesguard. Enjoy the peace and silence of the landscaped surroundings and Gaudí's masterful garden design. At the same time, discover Gaudí's intervention in the medieval heritage to incorporate it into his work.
The best views of the city of Barcelona. End the visit on the terraces of Torre Bellesguard and enjoy the experience of having the whole city at your feet.
The ideal setting for your photos. Take advantage of the beauty of Bellesguard and the tranquility of the visit to capture the moment and treasure it forever.
